HGV Class 1 (C+E) & Class 2 (LGV C) Drivers
Location: Reading
We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) and HGV Class 2 (LGV C) Drivers for a well-established and reputable client based in Reading.
This is an excellent opportunity offering stable, ongoing work, competitive pay rates, and flexible shift patterns.
Available Roles & Pay Rates (PAYE)
Class 1 (C+E):
• Days: £16.60 per hour
• Nights: £18.00 per hour
Class 2 (LGV C):
• Days: £14.55 per hour
• Nights: £16.50 per hour
Shift Patterns
• Day and night shifts available
• Typically 5 shifts per week
• Rotas may include weekends
Role Overview
Class 1 (C+E):
• Completing 2–3 ‘wave’ runs per shift
Class 2 (LGV C):
• Delivering parcels to Delivery Units
General Responsibilities:
• Ensuring safe and efficient operation of vehicles
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately and on time
• Adhering to all driving and safety regulations
Candidate Requirements
• Minimum 6 months’ HGV driving experience (relevant to licence class)
• Valid HGV licence:
o Class 1 (Category C+E) or
o Class 2 (Category C)
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 points for minor endorsements
• Willingness to complete an onsite assessment
