We have an exciting opportunity for skilled support workers, with experience with autism, LD, or challenging behaviour, to join an established team supporting a bubbly and friendly lady to live her best life possible.

Key Job Role Information

Role – Female Support worker

Location- Kirby

Salary - between £14.37 - 16.91 per hour ~( Inclusive of Holiday entitlement)

Shifts - Our shifts are 24 Hours starting at 8am – 11pm then a sleep shift 11pm – 8am

Expected hours – 24 - 48 hours Week

Key Role essentials and responsibilities –

- Full Uk drivers’ licence

- Competent verbal and written English

- Must have experience within health and social care settings

Meet the person you’ll be supporting:

Who am I? I am a lady in my 30s who has autism and a learning disability.

What challenges do I have? I can have challenges with communication and decision
making and need my team to support me with this.

What are my aspirations? To continue to live independently, eat a healthy diet, and for my days to be more focused on my activities.

What activities do I like to do? I go to the disco once or twice a week, and love days out to fun locations nearby like Knowsley Safari Park and Southport beach. I like walks in the park with a picnic and to be active in general.

How do I get out into my local community? I have a Motability vehicle which staff can request to use to access the community. I also walk around the community, and use a wheelchair.

How would I describe myself? I am bubbly, energetic and have a good sense of humour. I like routine, and to get to know the team around me. I am welcoming of new faces.

What are some of my long-term goals? People like me who are chatty, energetic, and can banter with me.

My team
How many people support me at one time? I am supported on a 2:1 at all times.

What shift patterns do my team do? My shift patterns are 8am to 11pm, with staff
sleeping over and finishing the next morning at 8 am

Members of my current team have been supporting me for several years, and know my routines well, so you will get a full introduction and be well supported.
