We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run care provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential care for older adults across the Vale of Glamorgan. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to take the next step, to join a supportive organisation that truly values person-centred care and staff development.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the residential care home, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care at all times. You will lead and motivate the staff team, maintain compliance with CIW standards, and continue to build on the home’s strong performance and reputation within the local community.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone passionate about delivering exceptional care and driving continuous improvement across the service.
Key Responsibilities
Provide effective leadership, guidance, and support to the care team
Ensure residents receive high-quality, personalised care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing
Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the home, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
Support and supervise staff, including rota management, recruitment, training, and development
Maintain compliance with CIW regulations, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety standards
Work closely with the Responsible Individual and senior management team to support occupancy and operational performance
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and external agencies
Ensure all care documentation and records are accurate, compliant, and up to date
Drive quality improvement initiatives and promote a positive culture throughout the service
Requirements
Previous experience within a leadership role in a residential care setting
Existing Registered Manager experience preferred, although strong Deputy Managers ready to progress are encouraged to apply
NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care preferred
Good knowledge of CIW regulations and standards within Wales
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care for older adults
