Sports GroundsmanWe are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Sports Groundsman to join our grounds maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking individual with a strong background in fine turf management and sports pitch preparation.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance and preparation of fine turf surfaces including:Cricket squares and outfieldsBowling greensCroquet lawnsGolf surfacesMarking and setting out sports pitches including:FootballRugbyCricketBaseballOperating and maintaining grounds machinery safely and effectivelyTurf cutting using pedestrian and ride-on rotary/cylinder mowersEnsuring playing surfaces are maintained to a high professional standardAssisting with seasonal renovation and general grounds dutiesEssential RequirementsProven experience in fine turf maintenanceExperience in sports pitch marking and preparationPA1/PA6 certificationCompetent operating pedestrian and ride-on rotary/cylinder mowersGood knowledge of turf care practices and sports surface maintenanceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFull UK driving licence preferredDesirable SkillsExperience working across multiple sports surfacesKnowledge of irrigation and turf machinery maintenanceRelevant sports turf qualificationsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceOpportunity to work within a professional sports grounds environmentOngoing training and developmentSupportive team environment
