Crynodeb

As a Field Delivery Team Manager, you will lead and manage a geographically dispersed team of Field Officers and Field Advisory Officers, ensuring the timely, high‑quality delivery of farm and premises inspection visits across current and future schemes. You will allocate, coordinate and quality‑assure work to meet local, regional and national delivery targets, provide weekly delivery forecasts, and explain and manage any variances.

You will lead by example, demonstrating RPA values and maintaining responsibility for key operational delivery areas including HR, performance, risk, finance, governance and compliance. This includes performance and attendance management, supporting staff wellbeing, and enabling individual development plans through coaching, training and continuous professional development. You will support the team through organisational change aligned to the RPA 5‑year strategy and work collaboratively with colleagues nationally to maximise resources and delivery outcomes.

The role has a strong focus on Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and customer experience. You will ensure scheme compliance, manage complaints and appeals, escalate business and fraud risks, and act as a key point of contact with policy teams, auditors and external stakeholders. You will contribute to the development and delivery of training materials, guidance and accreditation activity, and support internal and external audit processes.

This is an active, hands‑on role involving regular time outdoors, including walking several miles across varied terrain and working in all weather conditions. It includes safely conducting visits alongside the team and working responsibly near livestock such as cattle, sheep and pigs. Regular travel and occasional overnight stays are required, alongside effective use of IT and specialist inspection systems.
