We require an enthusiastic, organised and flexible individual to support reception duties within the Combined Day Unit at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) NHS Foundation Trust. The Combined Day Unit primarily sees patients who are undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
Responsibilities of this role will include reception duties, administration and clerical support for the scheduling of patients requiring appointments, dealing with queries via phone, email and face to face from patients, relatives and wider teams.
This is a very busy role therefore we are looking for a candidate who is resilient, organised and has a 'can do' attitude.
• Ensuring patients are arrived into the department with a welcome.
• Using computer systems to support the arrival and discharge of patients
• Dealing with patient records, filing and scanning notes
• Using a variety of computer systems
• Escalating any patient queries to the relevant person
• Maintaining a warm and welcoming reception area for patients
• Ability to multitask and think on your feet
• Liaising with patients, relatives and wider teams via telephone, email and face to face
