English Teacher (ECT) – Full-time, long-term supply starting September 2026

This English Teacher role is well suited to ECTs who want to build confidence, refine classroom practice, and make a positive impact while working in a supportive long-term supply position.
Duties as English Teacher (ECT):
- Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons in line with the curriculum
- Teach key areas including English language, literature, reading, and writing
- Plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain high expectations
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback where required
- Work collaboratively with department colleagues and support staff
- Contribute to wider school life during the long-term supply placement
Ideal English Teacher (ECT):
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to qualify as an ECT by September 2026
- Early Career Teacher seeking long-term supply experience
- Strong subject knowledge in English language and literature
- Confident and reflective classroom practitioner
