Summary
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding , and assembling metal components with precision and attention to detail. Experience with manual , NC and CNC machinery preferable. Candidtaes will help with all aspects of a busy fabrication workshop. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various fabrication techniques to contribute to high-quality projects in a dynamic environment.
Duties
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Use of TIG/MIG welding and other welding techniques suitable for particular applications accurately.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal according to specifications.
• Perform quality checks on fabricated components to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in the development of fabrication processes and improve existing methods for efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Requirements
• Proven experience in fabrication processes.
• Knowledge of fabication / welding standards and techniques.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working equipment.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings.
• Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
• Experience in assembly of fabricated components is desirable.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in welding or metal fabrication are advantageous but not essential.
