About me A is a 32 year old gentleman, looking for someone who can be more of a companion and buddy than a traditional support worker. A would like to build a genuine friendship with someone who enjoys simple, shared activities such as playing board games, playing cards going out locally and having a good chat. The focus of this role is companionship, encouragement, and helping him feel confident and comfortable when socialising.
A also has an interest in Japanese language and culture and would enjoy sharing this with someone who is open to learning together.
Hours and rate of pay Rate of Pay: will be discussed
Hours: 5 per week





Location Doncaster DN2
DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check
Right to Work and references will be needed.
What you would be doing… Supporting with social outings and community activities. Playing boardgames and engaging in relaxed conversation.
Supporting with simple meal planning, shopping for ingredients, and occasionally cooking together, where appropriate.
Encouraging confidence, independence and social interaction.
Sharing and exploring interests together, such as learning about Japanese language and culture.
The person I would like… Someone friendly, patient and understanding. Someone with good communication skills and who is reliable and punctual. Experience supporting people with additional needs is desirable but not essential. Someone who enjoys building a genuine connection and is happy to take a relaxed, person centred approach, focussing on shared interests and meaningful time together.
A positive, encouraging attitude is key.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference, by providing companionship and support in a relaxed, enjoyable way.
A driving licence and access to a car is preferred, but not essential.
