Job Description
We seek a reliable and diligent Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment on a temporary basis. The role involves supporting daily production activities to ensure efficient and safe operations. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions accurately, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Operate machinery and equipment in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Perform manual tasks such as assembly, packing, and quality inspection of products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to comply with workplace standards.
• Follow established procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to understand work instructions and complete records.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions accurately.
• Good level of physical fitness to carry out manual tasks and operate machinery safely.
Experience
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not essential.
• Experience of working on production lines or operating machinery is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain concentration over extended periods.
• Good communication skills to report issues and collaborate with colleagues effectively.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing setting.
Working Conditions
• Working Hours Monday to Friday rotating Shifts 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm Nghts 10pm to 6am
