What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an exceptional individual who shares our belief that students who have previously struggled in a mainstream environment can go on to thrive. Experience of teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 & 4, a willingness to be flexible and contribute to the wider curriculum and particularly support student personal development is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to see the potential behind the behaviour; they will have the patience and resilience that allows them to offer students a genuine fresh start and the opportunity to achieve. We believe that despite the challenges our students have experienced and the behaviours they may demonstrate they remain young people with boundless potential. We are looking for someone who can engage these young people, whilst maintaining very high standards of curriculum delivery to bring out their best.
Our work at the school is challenging but rewarding, staff have positive relationships with students and change lives on a daily basis. This is an ideal opportunity for a teacher who wants to make a difference and can see a child as more than a grade. We are looking for someone who shares our values, believes in our young people and is able to inspire aspiration in them.
What the school offers its staff
The successful candidate will join a talented and committed team and will be supported to be the best teacher they can be.
Commitment to safeguarding
The Bridge Short Stay School is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all young people and expect staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
