An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving, proudly independent veterinary practice in Norfolk. This modern, purpose-built small animal clinic is seeking a passionate, team-focused Veterinary Surgeon who is looking to take the next exciting step in their career within a genuinely supportive and progressive environment.

The Opportunity

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will join a highly experienced and collaborative clinical team in a modern, purpose-built practice designed to deliver outstanding patient care while maintaining an excellent work-life balance.

This is a full-time Veterinary Surgeon position, offering a 4-day working week with only 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30am–4:00pm) and no excessive out-of-hours expectations.

Clinical Services Offered

The practice provides a wide range of first-opinion and advanced services, including:

• General surgery
• Orthopaedic surgery

• Diagnostic imaging

The Team

The successful candidate will become part of a highly experienced and welcoming veterinary team consisting of:

3 Veterinary Surgeons, including certificate holders in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Orthopaedics
2 regular locum Veterinary Surgeons
8 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
1 Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN)
1 Patient Care Assistant (PCA)
3 Receptionists
• Access to in-house expertise including a medical certificate holder, behaviourist and physiotherapist

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

The practice is looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about maintaining high clinical standards
• Keen to continue learning and developing professionally
• Interested in pursuing a certificate or specialism (desirable, not essential)
• Comfortable working in a progressive, modern veterinary environment

An interest in cardiac surgery would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
