Crynodeb

The role of a support worker is to work in the home of the service user and provide care and support. This includes but is not limited to personal, social and domestic support and care and household management. Support workers are also required to provide support to service users in the community. Such needs must be provided whilst adhering to each service users individual care plan. All of our support workers must do this whilst observing and respecting the service user’s dignity, privacy and independence.

Essential Requirements
• Good English (Written) - to be able to receive, record and communicate information accurately
• Good English (Verbal) - to be able to receive, record and communicate information accurately
• Good Numeracy Skills - to be able to receive, record and communicate information accurately
• RQF Qualifications in Health and Social Care or Equivalent (Desirable)
• Basic IT Skills as a minimum
• Previous experience of working in similar environment
• Previous experience of working in similar role
• Experience of working with Service Users, in particular, those that may have additional mental and physical health support needs

Please be aware this is a lone working, waking night position. Staff members are not permitted to sleep during this shift (notwithstanding legal break entitlements), and such behaviour is grounds for dismissal. Please therefore consider your individual suitability before applying.
