JOB OPPORTUNITY: Workshop Operative
Location: Redditch
Salary: £12.71 per hour (Starting) → £12.98 per hour (Once Trained) + Shift Premiums
Position: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent

About the Role

Are you seeking a manufacturing position where you receive comprehensive training and are rewarded with a pay rise? We are recruiting a Workshop Operative to join a leading manufacturing company in Redditch. This role provides full training to develop your skills into a qualified Machine Operator.

*** Early Finish Every Friday — Enjoy 3-Day Weekends! ***

Shift Patterns & Pay

Starting Pay: £12.71 per hour
Trained Pay: £12.98 per hour (upon sign-off on machinery)
Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am – 12:00pm (Half day on Fridays)
Late Shift: Monday to Thursday 3:45pm – 2:00am (Enjoy a full 3-day weekend every week)

Shift Flexibility: We welcome applications from candidates who can commit to either shift pattern. However, those fully flexible to work both shifts will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1: Support production by packing, bottling, and labelling finished goods to familiarise yourself with the site.
Phase 2: Receive full, hands-on training to safely set up and operate production machinery.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and product handling (COSHH) guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised workspace.

Candidate Requirements

• A genuine interest in learning machinery operation and career progression.
• Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or production line is preferred, but a positive attitude is paramount.
• Comfortable working in a regulated chemical batching/blending environment.
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work effectively within a structured team.
