To provide a complementary service to that provided by teachers and support staff in order to address the needs of children who need help and support to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside school in order to achieve to their full potential. By so doing to contribute to the work of the Academy in raising standards of attainment, improving attendance, reducing exclusions and maintaining good standards of behaviour.Job requirements
Good numeracy/literacy skillsNVQ 3 or above.Evidence of having worked with children in some capacityA positive interest in working with children Knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of legislation.Ability to deal with sensitive issues appropriately, responding to a range of perspectives and experiences without being judgementalGood interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to build good working relationships with a range of colleaguesWorking hours32.5 hours per week - 8.30am to 3.30pm (Monday – Friday) - Term time only plus 5 daysWhy join us?
As a Learning Support Assistant within Radford Primary Academy, you’ll be able to make a key difference to a pupil’s educational experience as a crucial part of the wider team, and will have the opportunity to develop your skillset with key training and development opportunities available.Interview upon application
