Summary
Radyr Comprehensive School is seeking a dedicated and highly organised Teaching Assistant to support pupils with significant visual impairments.
This is a rewarding role for an individual who is committed to inclusive practice and ensuring all learners can access the curriculum effectively.31 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)1-year temporary contract in the first instanceKey Responsibilities
• Liaise with teaching staff to collate and adapt classroom resources in line with the specific requirements set by the Visual Impairment Specialist Teacher and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
• Work closely with pupils and their parents/carers to develop and maintain effective systems for accessing modified materials.
• Support the implementation of tailored approaches to learning, ensuring resources meet individual needs.
• Communicate effectively with staff across the school to ensure that pupils consistently have access to appropriate and timely resources.
• Manage workload efficiently, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines to ensure effective delivery of support.
• Support some key pupils during specific lessons where practical support is crucial.
