Driver’s Mate – Boston
Pay: £12.77 per hour - 30 hours per week
3 days per week (Mon–Sat rota) | Early starts (4:30 / 5:00 am)
Pilgrim Foodservice is hiring Driver’s Mates to support HGV drivers on multi-drop delivery routes until September 2026.
This is a physical, fast-paced role delivering food products to pubs, restaurants, schools and care homes.
The job
- Assist driver on 20–30 deliveries per day
- Load and unload stock at each drop
- Deliver into customer premises (kitchens, stores etc.)
- Work as part of a 2-person delivery team
- Provide professional customer service
Shift pattern
- 30 hours per week
- 3 days from 6 (Monday to Saturday)
- Typical shift length 8–10 hours
Requirements
- Physically fit (regular lifting required)
- Reliable and good timekeeping
- Comfortable with early starts
- Good attitude and team player
- Own Transport to get to site for an early start (no public transport avaliable)
Must be 18+
