Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual who thrives on making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? If so, our client, a dynamic and inclusive school in the heart of Mansfield, is searching for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their extraordinary team.

In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our talented educators, providing personalised support and guidance to students who require additional assistance to reach their full potential. Our client values the unique strengths and needs of each child, and as a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

As the successful candidate, you will possess a genuine passion for working with children and a deep understanding of the challenges and triumphs that come with supporting SEND students. Your innate empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills will be essential as you collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop and implement tailored strategies that address the individual needs of our students.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing one-on-one or small-group support to students with a wide range of SEND, such as autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and emotional/behavioural challenges.
- Assisting students with daily living activities, such as personal care, mobility, and communication.
- Reinforcing and extending the learning that takes place in the classroom, through engaging and interactive activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Collaborating with the teaching team to plan and deliver lessons that are inclusive and accessible for all students.
- Maintaining detailed records of student progress and communicating regularly with teachers and parents to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
- Actively participating in professional development opportunities to continually expand your knowledge and skills in supporting SEND students.

To thrive in this role, you will need to possess a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children, as well as a deep understanding of SEND-related challenges and strategies. Relevant qualifications, such as a teaching assistant diploma or experience working in a SEND setting, would be highly advantageous.

Most importantly, you will be a compassionate, patient, and adaptable individual who is committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.

In return for your dedication and hard work, our client offers a competitive salary, a supportive and collaborative work environment, and the opportunity to be part of a close-knit school community that values the contributions of every team member.

If you are excited by the prospect of joining a dynamic and inclusive school in Mansfield and making a tangible difference in the lives of SEND students, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding SEND Teaching Assistant position. With your exceptional skills and unwavering commitment, you can help shape the future of our students and contribute to the ongoing success of our school.
