We are an ambitious and forward-thinking refurbishment construction company operating within a rapdidly expanding sector.

Due to continued growth and exciting future plans, we are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Chester. Role may have opportunity for Cheshire/Merseyside with expanding offices.

The Opportunity

As Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial delivery of refurbishment and construction projects. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, clients and project teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully, profitably and to the highest standards.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of the business, helping shape processes, mentor junior team members and support long-term expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the commercial management of refurbishment and construction projects from inception through to completion
Provide full quantity surveying and cost management services
Prepare cost plans, budgets, valuations and final accounts
Deliver procurement strategies and manage tender processes
Undertake contract administration and project cost control
Monitor project performance, risks and financial reporting
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Support project management and fund monitoring activities
Mentor and support Apprentices, Graduates and Assistant Quantity Surveyors
Contribute to continuous improvement and strategic business growth initiatives
About You

We are looking for a confident, commercially aware and client-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of projects.

Essential Requirements

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Strong experience delivering construction and refurbishment projects
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Ability to independently manage multiple projects
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Leadership skills with a passion for mentoring junior team members
Desirable But Not Essential

MRICS qualified (or working towards)
Knowledge of refurbishment and live environment projects
