The Successful Candidate Will Have
Essential:
• Mandatory qualification as a Qualified Teacher of Children and Young People with Vision Impairment — QTVI.
• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience supporting children or young people with visual impairment.
• Strong understanding of SEND, EHCPs and inclusive education.
• Ability to advise on specialist resources, access arrangements and assistive technology.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A calm, flexible and learner-centred approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
Mandatory / Desirable:
• Experience working with post-16 learners.
• Experience working in a specialist SEND setting.
• Knowledge of creative or vocational curriculum pathways.
• Experience supporting learners with complex or multiple needs.
