About the role

We're looking for a compassionate, proactive and team-focused Support Worker to join our service in Kidderminster (DY10). You'll be supporting four gentlemen and one lady aged 20s-60s with learning disabilities and complex health needs.

This is a lively and engaging home where teamwork, consistency and positivity make a real difference. You'll work as part of a two-person team on each shift, helping to create a safe, supportive and stimulating environment.

Who you will be supporting

The people you'll support live active and fulfilling lives and enjoy a variety of activities, including:

- Staying active: Swimming (you'll need to be confident in the pool), football and day trips

- Creative activities: Arts & crafts, music sessions and sensory activities at home

- Social experiences: Theatre visits, day centres and trips to local parks

Support needs include PEG feeding, epilepsy support and non-verbal communication, requiring a patient, attentive and consistent approach.

What you will be doing

This is a varied, hands-on role where every day is different. You'll support with:

- Promoting independence and choice

- Providing full personal care with dignity and respect

- Supporting meal preparation and daily living tasks

- Administering medication, including PEG feeding and epilepsy support

- Using hoists and manual handling equipment safely

- Supporting individuals who communicate without words

- Encouraging engagement in activities and routines

- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high-quality care

Shift patterns

This is a 37.5-hour role with a variety of shifts, including:

- 7:00am - 2:30pm

- 7:30am - 3:00pm

- 8:00am - 3:30pm

- 2:00pm - 9:30pm

- 3:00pm - 10:30pm

- 3:30pm - 7:30pm

- Sleep-ins: 10:30pm - 7:00am (£50 paid to sleep)

You'll typically complete 1-2 sleep-ins per week.
Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.

Experience is helpful but not essential — full training is provided.
