We are currently advertising for a Pathway Support position within the Breast Units at Derby and Burton.
Responsibilities of this role will include administration and clerical support for the South Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire Breast Screening and Symptomatic Services. This will involve reception duties, clinic preparation and office duties associated with the breast service.
The Breast Service is delivered across South Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire with static Breast Units at the Royal Derby Hospital and Queens Hospital Burton. The role will involve working at both Derby and Burton Breast Units depending on service need.
Applicants must be confident communicators with the ability to liaise with colleagues and patients. Essential qualities are strong organisational/time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Flexibility is required as the post holders will be required to work in either location and meet differing clinic session times.
Applicants should have demonstrable experience of working in a busy outpatient environment or have call handling experience. Applicants must be experienced in using IT systems and/or appointment systems, with a sound understanding of appointment/waiting list management.
Core skills/qualifications include: educated to English Language and Mathematics at O’ level/GCSE level, IT literacy, good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team and individually, with minimal supervision.
