Summary

The Position: We’re looking for a Careers Advisor in our careers team. Part Time, Term time only

Requirements for the role:

A current relevant qualification such as – NVQ Advice and Guidance Level 4 or Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance or above
Able to provide high quality one-to-one IAG advice to a wide variety of students and potential students
An understanding of the current Further Education and Higher Education landscapes in terms of progression opportunities

Responsibilities for the role:

To provide CEIAG to college learners and prospective learners on an individual or group basis. Areas of support covered will include career planning, career options, selection of learning programmes, progression routes (including into employment or higher education), pastoral support and advocacy, advice on financial support in further and higher education.
To adhere to and develop the principles promoted by the ‘Matrix Award’.
To liaise with and develop networks with external agencies and organisations.

The Location: The College is based in Nuneaton, and you will be required to work flexibly across all college sites (primarily the Nuneaton, Hinckley, and Harrowbrook campuses) This is a great place to live with plenty of social and sport facilities together with great transport links.

The pay range we’re offering is the support grade which is 21 – 24, £14,051 - £15,348 (please note that this contract is three days per week - 23 Hours per week (38 weeks per year)
