English One to One Tutor

Outwood Academy Normanby

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract: Temporary until 31 December 2027

Salary (Actual Salary):

M6 Higher rate for those with QTS - £35.78 per hour

UN5 Medium rate for those with relevant degree but no QTS - £25.77 per hour

UN1 Lower rate for those with no degree or QTS - £17.83 per hour

Working Pattern:Casual hours to be determined through discussions between academy and successful candidate

About the Role:

As a one to one tutor you will contribute to raising the standards of student attainment through planning, implementing and delivering a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum in the relevant subject.

In this role you will be expected to deliver intervention programmes to students in collaboration with department staff, using your understanding to discuss under performance from students and in turn develop suitable intervention materials to improve the student performance.

There will be an expectation to liaise with department heads and teachers to provide feedback on student development, as well as support with exam specific revision sessions.

Applicants should ideally be educated at degree level in the relevant subject and must hold at the very minimum hold an AS/A2 level qualification in the relevant subject, equally, applicants must have an ability to work with students up to GCSE level as a minimum.
