HR Advisor
Location: Lichfield/Hybrid Team: HR Operations
Join our HR team and make a real difference
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our HR Operations Team. This is a key role within the function, offering the chance to support managers and colleagues across the organisation while delivering a high‑quality, professional HR service.
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you’ll be a trusted first point of contact for HR advice, playing a vital role in ensuring our people processes run smoothly and compliantly in a fast‑paced, growing organisation.
What you’ll be doing
As an HR Advisor, your role will be varied, hands‑on and impactful. You will:

- Provide clear, practical HR advice to managers and colleagues via phone and email

- Deliver core operational HR processes, including:

- Payroll and contractual changes
- Family‑friendly leave
- References, right to work checks and DBS/criminal record checks
- Professional registrations and benefits administration
- Skilled Worker sponsorship processes

- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, CQC standards and Home Office requirements
- Manage and resolve HR queries efficiently, escalating complex matters when required
- Support the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures and processes
- Contribute to wider HR projects and initiatives within a supportive HR team

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised and proactive, with:

- Previous experience in a generalist HR role
- A good working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage a varied workload in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in the care sector and knowledge of regulatory compliance (including right to work and sponsorship processes) would be an advantage
