Summary

Our client, one of the world's most recognised franchised automotive dealers, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to advance their career within a reputable dealership group. The Vehicle Technician role offers stability, competitive remuneration, and a supportive working environment. Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, including MOT testing, is desirable but not essential as full training can be provided for the right individual.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle faults accurately
- Perform safety inspections and generate detailed reports
- Complete all service and repair documentation
- Adhere to health and safety protocols within the workshop environment
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area
- Support the wider team with vehicle diagnostics and additional technical tasks as required

Requirements:

- Successfully completed IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Previous proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Willingness to work Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on a rota basis
- MOT testing certification is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to outstanding customer service
