Summary
This role is focused on supporting the development and delivery of staff engagement activity across the Trust, with a particular emphasis on colleague voice, listening and recognition. The post holder will play a key role in ensuring that staff feedback is captured, understood and used to inform meaningful and sustainable improvements to staff experience. The role combines the practical delivery of engagement activity with the ability to interpret data and insight, ensuring that approaches are evidence-based and responsive to the needs of the workforce. This includes supporting the Trusts participation in the annual NHS Staff Survey and implementing a range of listening approaches between survey cycles to maintain an ongoing understanding of staff experience. A key part of the role is the coordination and delivery of staff recognition activity, including both larger events and personalised presentations. The post holder will also contribute to the delivery of Trust-wide engagement and recognition programmes (e.g. long service awards and staff recognition initiatives), helping to ensure these are accessible, inclusive and impactful for all staff groups. The post holder will work closely with senior leaders and teams across the organisation to ensure that recognition is meaningful, inclusive and embedded within everyday practice. The role also involves planning and facilitating engagement opportunities, such as workshops, focus groups and events, to create spaces where colleagues can share their experiences and contribute to improvement. Alongside this, the post holder will support the development of engagement resources, communications and toolkits, enabling managers and teams to embed effective engagement practices locally. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, the post holder will act as a key link between staff feedback and organisational action, helping to promote a culture where colleagues feel heard, valued and engaged. The post holder will contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of engagement activity, using both qualitative and quantitative data to assess impact and support continuous improvement. They will also support reporting to senior leaders and governance groups, ensuring that insight is clearly communicated and used to inform decision-making. The role includes supporting the operational delivery of engagement activity, including managing shared inboxes, communication channels and responding to enquiries. The post holder will also undertake associated administrative processes, such as coordinating invitations, maintaining accurate records and supporting financial processes, including raising purchase requests and submitting invoices where required. As part of the wider People Support Team, the role will also contribute to Inclusion and Wellbeing workstreams, maintaining a compassionate and people-centred approach at all times, including supporting colleagues and signposting to appropriate resources where needed. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously in managing their workload, using initiative and judgement to prioritise tasks, respond to enquiries and support delivery of multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment. They will also contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, keeping up to date with best practice in staff engagement and applying evidence-based approaches to enhance workforce experience and outcomes. The post holder will complete all mandatory training and participate in relevant development opportunities to support delivery of the role. For further details please see the attached job description.
