Summary
We’re recruiting for a friendly, organised, and proactive Operations Administrator to join a busy and growing manufacturing business based in Grantham.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll support the day-to-day running of the office, help coordinate deliveries and transport, manage operational administration, and assist with sales support activities including outbound calls, booking appointments, diary management, and following up warm leads.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys being busy, is confident communicating with people, and likes being involved across different areas of a business. Previous administration experience is helpful, but personality, organisation, and willingness to learn are just as important.
Key Responsibilities
• Answering incoming calls and handling general office enquiries
• Supporting transport and delivery bookings with external providers
• Preparing delivery notes, labels, and shipping paperwork
• Processing goods received and updating internal records
• Supporting goods in/goods out administration
• Booking appointments and managing diaries for the sales team
• Making outbound calls to warm leads and existing enquiries
• Following up leads and helping convert enquiries into appointments
• Maintaining organised filing systems and accurate documentation
• Supporting compliance checks and monthly site inspections
• Providing general administration support across the operations team
What We’re Looking For
• Previous administration or customer service experience
• Confident communication skills and a professional phone manner
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and internal systems
• Someone proactive, reliable, and willing to get stuck in
• A positive attitude and the ability to manage a varied workload
Experience within manufacturing, logistics, transport, warehouse, or sales administration would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
Working Hours
38¾ hour week
• Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:45am – 4:00pm
