Caretaker (part time) – William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre (WQSEC) – Govan, Glasgow
A rare and exciting opportunity to join the William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre (WQSEC) and play a key role in keeping a unique clinical environment safe, welcoming and running smoothly. WQSEC delivers cutting‑edge treatment and diagnostic facilities alongside community‑based services for people affected by epilepsy and head injuries and the environment matters.

What you’ll be doing
- Keeping the Centre’s buildings and grounds clean, safe and well presented
- Supporting room set‑ups and clear‑downs for meetings, events and activities
- Completing regular site checks (including fire safety and general environmental checks) and reporting issues promptly
- Carrying out minor practical tasks and flagging repairs that need contractor input
- Working with colleagues and supporting contractors on site in line with local procedures
Working pattern (important)
This is a part‑time split shift role, worked across 5 days per week:
- 7:30am – 9:30am and 5:00pm – 7:00pm
- Flexibility will be considered for the right candidate
- There is an expectation of additional cover during seasonal periods, which may occasionally include Saturday or Sunday working
