We are currently recruiting for out client a reliable and motivated Porter / Driver to support the Facilities operations across Glasgow. This is a varied, hands-on role that plays an important part in supporting events.


The successful candidate will join a busy operational team responsible for the safe transportation, delivery, set-up, dismantling, and movement of furniture, displays, materials, and specialist high-value equipment across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and assist with room and event set-ups
  • Safely transport furniture, equipment, displays, and materials between sites
  • Drive vehicles including flatbed and Luton vans
  • Dismantle and reassemble furniture and equipment using hand and power tools
  • Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, security teams, and event staff to ensure all setups are completed efficiently and on time
  • Support stores operations and deputise for the Store person when required
  • Carry out routine vehicle checks and report maintenance or equipment faults

Essential Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Previous experience driving flatbed and/or Luton vans
  • Good practical skills with the ability to use hand and power tools safely
  • Experience in facilities, logistics, driving, removals, maintenance, or a similar operational environment
  • Ability to undertake manual handling and physical work safely
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work flexibly to meet operational demands
  • Basic IT skills for mobile job management systems

Desirable Experience
  • Experience supporting events or room setups
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • Experience working within estates, facilities
