The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day running of our busy and successful nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong practitioner ready to take the next step in their career.
You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the highest standards of care, education, and compliance are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Nursery Manager in the overall leadership and management of the nursery
Lead and inspire the team to deliver outstanding childcare and education
Ensure full compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and supervision
Assist with planning, observations, and ensuring high-quality learning experiences
Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager’s absence
Requirements
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare (Level 5 desirable)
Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within a nursery setting
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
A passion for early years education and child development
A proactive, positive, and team-focused attitude
