Secondary Maths Teacher
Sheffield Secondary School | September 2026 Start | Permanent / Long-Term

Salary: Main Teacher Pay Scale (M1-M6)

Are you a Maths teacher who thrives on making a real difference in the classroom?

Do you want to teach in a school where strong relationships and consistency underpin excellent behaviour?

Looking for a role where you’ll be supported, challenged, and given clear routes to progression?

A large, well-established Sheffield secondary school is looking to secure a talented Maths Teacher ahead of the September 2026 start. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school that has undergone significant improvement in recent years, with a clear vision, strong leadership, and a renewed focus on high standards across the board.

The school serves a diverse and vibrant community and places a strong emphasis on creating a calm, structured learning environment where students can succeed. Behaviour systems are clear and consistently applied, allowing teachers to focus on delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.

The Maths department is a key part of the school’s improvement journey—well-resourced, collaborative, and ambitious for its students. You’ll be joining a supportive team with a shared goal of raising attainment and building confidence in Mathematics across all ability levels.

The Role:

• Full-time Secondary Maths Teacher position
• Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available for suitable candidates)
• Deliver engaging, structured lessons that support progress for all learners
• Play an active role in a developing and forward-thinking department

What the School is Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths education
• High expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement
• A resilient, proactive teacher who values consistency and teamwork

Why This School?

• Clear and effective behaviour systems that support teaching and learning
• Strong SLT with a focus on staff development and wellbeing
• Opportunities for progression within a growing and improving school
• Part of a wider trust offering excellent CPD and career pathways

This role would suit an ECT looking for a structured and supportive start, or an experienced teacher ready to contribute to a school on an exciting upward journey.

Interested?
Apply now or get in touch to find out more - schools are already planning ahead for September, and opportunities like this don’t stay available for long.
