Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers to support personalised learning plans
- Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Assist pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
- Support behaviour management using positive strategies
- Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Assist with personal care where required
- Encourage independence and confidence in all pupils
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (highly desirable)
- Understanding of conditions such as autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. , Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
