As a result of continued business growth and expanding international operations, Kapwell Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented **Finance & Document Control Coordinator** to support both financial administration and document control functions within the business.
Role Overview
The Finance & Document Control Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the company’s engineering and manufacturing operations through accurate bookkeeping, financial administration, and document management activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, supporting month-end and year-end reporting processes, coordinating supplier and client documentation, and ensuring effective document control across projects and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out document control activities for projects and company records
* Maintain accurate financial records using in-house Excel-based systems
* Process purchase invoices and supplier payments
* Raise sales invoices and monitor outstanding receivables
* Reconcile bank accounts and company credit cards
* Prepare VAT return documentation for handover to Kapwell accountants
* Support payroll administration processes
* Assist with month-end reporting and financial summaries
* Track and monitor project cost allocations for engineering and manufacturing projects
* Liaise with external accountants and auditors when required
* Maintain organised and secure financial and project documentation
Requirements
* Proven bookkeeping experience (minimum 1 year preferred)
* Knowledge of UK accounting standards and VAT regulations
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Professional, reliable, and confidential approach to work
* Experience or knowledge of document control processes is advantageous but not essential
