We are seeking a compassionate and organised Band 3 Receptionist to join our Children's Hospital team. This is a rewarding role where you will be the first point of contact for children, young people, and their families, helping to create a welcoming and reassuring environment.
About the Role
You will support the day-to-day running of the department by providing a professional reception service alongside essential administrative duties, ensuring a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors, providing a friendly and professional service
- Register patients and manage appointments for clinics and Emergency Department
- Handle telephone enquiries sensitively and efficiently
- Maintain patient records, including scanning and documentation
- Communicate effectively with clinical teams and support coordination of care
- Arrange patient transport and track test results
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace and adequate stock levels
- Ensure confidentiality and data protection at all times
