Job Description:
Site Manager – Primary School – Sutton
Pay: £120.00-£150.00 per day
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Site Manager to join a friendly primary school in Sutton on a full-time basis. This is an ASAP start position and would suit someone proactive, hands-on and confident managing the daily upkeep, safety and security of a busy school environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school premises are safe, clean, secure and well-maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.
Hours:
Monday to Friday
7:00am – 11:00am and 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Responsibilities
Opening and locking the school premises daily
Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs
Ensuring the school site is clean, safe and secure at all times
Monitoring health and safety across the premises
Managing contractors and overseeing site-related works
Conducting regular site checks and reporting issues promptly
Supporting with deliveries, furniture movement and room setups
Maintaining outdoor areas including playgrounds and entrances
Responding to emergency maintenance issues where required
Requirements
Previous site management or caretaker experience within a school or similar environment
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
Good DIY and maintenance skills
Reliable, organised and able to work independently
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
Must hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
Ability to start ASAP
