We're looking for a Cleaning Operative who will provide a comprehensive cleaning service across the Centre while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in a secure environment.
Role Responsibilities:
-To provide a comprehensive cleaning service in designated areas to meet the standards identified in the cleaning schedule.
-Clean all areas, including toilets, showers, fixtures and fittings, to ensure cleanliness standards and a hygienic environment are maintained.
-Operate in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations and Mitie standards.
-Maintain cleaning equipment so that it remains serviceable and ready to use, ensuring no time delay in achieving required standards.
-Use, handle, transport and store equipment and materials securely and correctly at all times to ensure a safe and secure environment.
-Identify and report any areas requiring repair or maintenance so that corrective action can be taken.
-Notify relevant staff of stock levels so that the availability of cleaning materials is maintained.
-Work within a Detention setting.
-On occasion, undertake the cleaning of body fluids (blood, urine and faeces).
Required Qualifications:Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
-Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage.
-Ability to work safely and in compliance with COSHH and Mitie standards.
-Comfortable working within a Detention environment.
