Summary
Evening Cleaner
£12.82 ph - £24,999.00 Pro Rata
Haslingden Community Link
12 hours per week
• To ensure the site and buildings identified as Haslingden Community Link are maintained to a high standard, in terms of security, tidiness and cleanliness for the safety and health of all persons who use the site and buildings.
• To safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults
Main duties:
Site Responsibilities
• To maintain a good standard of work performance and attendance.
• To apply a high level of security appropriate to the needs of the post and in line with the requirements of the HCL management.
• Respect the rules for health and safety at work
• Be aware of the COSHH requirements with regard to the cleaning products in use
• Report any anomalies to management, related to items of building fittings, electrical appliances or any other types of products
• Ensure the safe handling, transport and use of all mobile cleaning equipment and products
• Maintain cleaning duties in a consistent manner
• Use cleaning resources in the most cost effective way
• Post signs indicating that cleaning operations are in progress (as appropriate), in order to ensure the safety of others
• To participate in performance management; attend training courses, staff meetings and identify opportunities for professional development.
Support for the centre
• To attend appropriate meetings as required and cascade information generated, where relevant.
• To attend training courses as appropriate and agreed with the line manager and take responsibility for own personal and professional development.
• To demonstrate a positive and motivated approach; and share knowledge and skills with others.
• To participate as required in all centre activities.
• To be familiar with and abide by all HCL rules and policies.
• To work together with all colleagues for The Common Good.
• To contribute to the overall objectives and policies of Haslingden Community Link To take care of own and other people’s health and safety
• To be aware of the confidential nature of issues related to home/child/staff/centre work and ensure confidentiality of information at all times.
• To assist in maintaining equipment and its storage to a high standard.
