Summary
Description
We are recruiting a Team Leader to work with our friendly 53-year-old male client who has an acquired brain injury. Our client enjoys local activities and attending Headway. This post would suit someone who has knowledge of the area and enjoys finding new activities that may interest the client. You will support our client with his mobility, accessing the community, and social activities. You will work in our client’s own home and out in the community, including trying your luck at Bingo, attending Warm Hub and catching up with his family. You will support the client’s rehabilitation goals, medication needs, some personal care, daily living activities and ensure the support staff are working collaboratively.
The salary for this role is £16.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Your duties will include co-ordinating the rota to ensure cover is in place at all times, liaising with the client’s MDT, ensuring the smooth running of the team and that everybody knows what they are doing. You will work on shift for the majority of your hours supporting with personal care, social and leisure activities, and rehabilitation activities, whilst also having some time to work off shift to complete the rotas and supervision of the rest of the team.
Key skills, knowledge and experience
• You should have previous experience of working in the Health Sector.
• Driving licence and car owner is essential.
• NVQ/Diploma level three in health & social care or equivalent e.g., completed year 1/level 4 of a health profession degree course.
