What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of Monks Coppenhall Academy seek to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic, and self-motivated class teacher from September 2026. This role is 0.6 FTE and will either be in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
This is a temporary position for one academic year in the first instance. The position may be made permanent, dependent on pupil numbers.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a class teacher mentor and the supervision of a member of the leadership team. As a forward-thinking academy, we are always looking at succession planning and opportunities to support continuous professional development are given the highest priority. We are looking for a reflective practitioner who is ready to develop their career and make a positive contribution to the development of our academy as a whole. Could this be you?
The successful candidate must: -
• Have a track record of excellence in their classroom practice;
• Have ambition, drive and a passion for learning;
• Promote and lead high expectations of learning, achievement and behaviour through positive classroom
• management;
• Be highly motivated and committed to working as part of a team;
• Be able to provide exciting and stimulating learning opportunities for all children;
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to parental and community involvement;
• Have good sense of humour and a hardworking ethos.
