Job description
RCCG Hope Chapel Manchester, England seeks to employ a Minister of Religion - Assistant Pastor (Head of Teaching Ministry) with immediate effect.

The Head of Teaching Ministry provides strategic leadership and oversight for all teaching functions within RCCG Hope Chapel. This includes Sunday School, Bible Study, discipleship pathways, doctrinal training, teacher development, and curriculum creation. The role ensures that all teaching across the church is biblically sound, aligned with RCCG doctrine, and delivered with excellence. The Head of Teaching Ministry works closely with the Pastor‑in‑Charge to support the spiritual growth and maturity of the congregation.

The candidate should be a Born again Spirit Filled Christian Believer who must have gone through Believers’ class and the Discipleship class process in a pentecostal church. Evidence of previous spiritual development or certification will be required if invited to attend an interview.

Our congregation encompasses people from different backgrounds, race and ethnicity, but the dominant groups are BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic). Evidence of training and on-going spiritual development will be required if invited to attend an interview.

Responsibilities
1. Teaching Oversight & Doctrinal Alignment: Ensure all teaching materials and sessions align with RCCG doctrine and church vision. Oversee Sunday School, Bible Study, discipleship classes, and workers‑in‑training programmes. Review and approve teaching content, outlines, and curriculum.

2. Bible Study & Sunday School Delivery: Teach or facilitate Bible Study sessions when required. Oversee Sunday School operations, ensuring punctuality, quality, and consistency. Support teachers with preparation, resources, and pastoral guidance.

3. Organise seminars, webinars, and workshops to equip and educate church members about effective Evangelism

4. Discipleship & Spiritual Growth: Develop and oversee discipleship programmes for new converts and church workers. Provide doctrinal counselling and spiritual guidance to members. Support the Pastor‑in‑Charge in shaping the church’s spiritual growth strategy

5. Organise monthly and quarterly prayer meetings to intercede for new converts.

6. Assist with the Coordination and communication of the Church’s Evangelism Day and other local outreaches.

7. Provide regular updates to the Resident Pastor regarding the progress and accomplishment of defined tasks and goals.

8. Engage in prayer and fasting with a view to build spiritual covering for the children church and promoting young people's interests.

9. Organise prayer meetings and evangelistic programmes for the parish.

10. Supporting the Pastorate in conducting the Holy Communion service.


Skills and Knowledge Required
Applicant must be a committed member a Pentecostal church preferable RCCG.
Previous Leadership experience will be an advantage.
Experience in Hymns, Contemporary, Western and African Gospel music of different genres.
The applicant must be capable of working independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
Providing religious education as required in the church and teaching people who seek conversion to Christianity. Offering pastoral care, counselling and welfare support to children of the church.
We are looking for someone who is a Born again, Spirit Filled Christian Believer who must have gone through believer’s/baptismal training from any reputable Pentecostal Church.
Initiative and self-manage capability.
Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
High energy and a positive attitude.
Curious personality, eager to learn and grow, takes initiative and always goes the ‘extra mile.

Qualifications
Diploma in any Religious studies

Remuneration & Work Environment
DBS clearance will be required for this job since it involves dealing with adults and children. Disclosure expense will be met by the employee.
The role is full time working in the church office. Church Location, 958/960 Stockport Road Levenshulme, Manchester M19 3NN
Hybrid Working Options Available.
Salary – £12.71 per Hour

Experiences
Active participation in Teaching ministry role, teaching and conducting church service, evidence will be required during interview.
