Summary
Desian Education are proud to be supporting an Ofsted rated “Outstanding” in all areas mainstream primary school in Widnes as they require an experienced and qualified teaching assistant to join the EYFS class on a full-time temporary basis from September.
This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded mainstream school and play a key role in the development of EYFS pupils that subject to funding, will last the entirety of the academic year.
Your new role:
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining the EYFS class, working in collaboration with the class teacher to promote the engagement of pupils by utilising an array of learning equipment, differentiating dependent on individual student learning needs and building strong constructive relationships. You will directly support the learning and development of each pupil by planning and delivery and array of educational activities in line with pupil key interest’s and the EYFS curriculum as well as:
- Holding 1:1 and small group guided reading sessions including scaffolding
- Assisting with guided writing to support fine motor skills
- Complete phonics sessions and assessments using RWI
- Direct liaison with parents/guardians including parents evenings, giving accurate feedback and recognising key milestones
What you need to succeed:
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Be at least NVQ Level 3 Children’s Care, Learning and Development or equivalent qualified
- Expert knowledge of the EYFS national curriculum and relevant referenceable classroom experience
- An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
- Be able to commit to a full-time contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week
