About the service
Set within the Tulloch Hill area in the city of Perth, we have an enthusiastic support team providing 24-hour care to people living with complex needs (such as learning disability, PICA and epilepsy).
We are currently recruiting for Female Support Workers* for this role, in line with the specific needs and preferences of the people we support.
The team are dedicated to delivering a high standard of care that enables the people we support to live full, active and independent lives tailored to their individual needs and aspirations. They achieve this by creating a warm, welcoming environment where the people we support feel safe in their own homes and staff feel safe and supported at work.
About the Role
As a Female Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to live as independently as possible while maintaining dignity, choice and control over their lives. You will work as part of a dedicated team to provide person-centred care and support, ensuring the safety, wellbeing and happiness of the people we support at all times.
Key Responsibilities
>Provide high-quality, person-centred care tailored to individual needs and preferences
>Support individuals with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation and household activities
>Safely support individuals with complex needs, including epilepsy management and PICA awareness
>Promote independence, encouraging individuals to develop life skills and participate in meaningful activities
>Support with social activities both within the service and in the community
>Maintain accurate records and follow care plans and risk assessments
>Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals
>Ensure a safe, supportive and inclusive environment at all times
Hours and Shift Patterns
Our team works on a rota system, with weekly shifts including a mixture of early, late and night shifts. Flexible working hours are considered wherever possible, as we actively promote a healthy work-life balance.
Typical shifts are:
>Early: 7.30am – 3pm
>Late: 2pm – 10pm
>Night: 10pm – 8am
