The Opportunity
An opportunity has become available for a Stock Controller to join a well-established chemical manufacturing business on an initial 3-month contract. As Stock Controller you will play a key role in managing the inventory operations, ensuring critical materials are available to support engineering and production activities

Your duties and responsibilities will be

- Oversee stock levels of engineering spares to ensure operational continuity and minimise downtime across multiple sites
- Act as the key link between stores, engineering and operations teams to resolve material requirements and queries efficiently
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure full compliance with audit, quality and environmental standards
- Support supplier management by identifying risks, resolving issues and ensuring continuity of supply
- Manage logistics activities including transport coordination, documentation and cost tracking for materials movement


You will have the following qualifications & experience:

- Proven experience in stock control, inventory management or stores operations within an engineering or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of inventory systems, stock accuracy and audit processes
- Ability to manage competing priorities across complex operations with multiple stakeholders
- Awareness of safety, health and environmental standards within a warehouse or site-based setting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with engineering, procurement and operational teams
