Summary
Be Part of Sadia’s World – Personal Assistant Wanted
Sadia Patel is a warm, bubbly and positive person who loves the simple joys in life. Whether she’s getting creative with arts and crafts, diving into a good book, catching up with friends over coffee, or relaxing at home with her beloved cats, she brings a bright and cheerful energy to everything she does.
This isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to be part of Sadia’s everyday life and support her to live independently in a way that works for her.
As Sadia’s personal assistant, you’ll provide support with domestic tasks including cleaning, laundry and tidying, as well as caring for her cat. She has recently moved house so some of your tasks may involve helping her get settled in and moving around furniture. Some heavy lifting is required with tasks such as taking out the bins.
Sadia is looking for someone who is friendly, chatty and easy to get along with. She would like someone who is positive and proactive, and can take initiative but is happy to work with her, not just for her. It would also be ideal if you have an understanding about stroke and neurological conditions (or if you’re willing to learn!).
No formal care experience? No problem! If you’re kind, dependable and willing to learn, you’ll be a great fit.
This position is based in Robroyston G33 with some time spent in the local area for outings and appointments. A driving license to drive manual cars is essential and a car can be provided while on shift. The role is 10.5 hours per week at £13.60 per hour. Working days are Mondays and Fridays with 4 hours each day 10.30AM – 2.30PM, as well as 2.5 hours on Wednesdays starting around 1.00PM.
This is a truly rewarding opportunity to build a meaningful, positive relationship while making a real difference in someone’s everyday life.
If you think you’d be a great fit for Sadia, we’d love to hear from you!
If interested, please apply online or by sending your CV to par@gcil.org.uk including the reference SB/LD/2.26 in the subject and body of the email. If you have any questions, please call GCIL at 0141 550 4455.
