Summary
**HGV Class 1 General Haulage - Preston** ****
We are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers on a temp - ongoing basis to meet the needs of the business at our Preston depot. The role mainly consists of general haulage, transporting goods to various customer destinations across the UK.
Experience using double deck trailers is preferred.
Immediate start for successful candidates!
**Shifts available:**
* Night shifts: Start times between 16:00 20:00
* up to 5 shifts per week, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are the busiest
**Night pay rates:**
* Monday to Friday: £22.00 per hour
* Saturday: £25.00 per hour
* Sunday & Bank Holidays: £27.00 per hour
All hourly rates include holiday pay.
**➡️ ** Only a 30-minute break deducted per shift!
**Responsibilities: **
* Delivering a professional and efficient driving service within the General Haulage team, undertaking deliveries and collections of products.
* Loading/Unloading and securing loads.
* Dealing with customers face to face.
* Keeping in regular contact with the transport office team for updates on progress and managing customers expectations.
**What we are looking for:**
* Class 1 experience required.
* In date DIGI and CPC card.
* Enthusiastic and reliable.
* Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work.
