Your role:
This role supports early years settings to effectively identify and meet the needs of children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). It focuses on early identification, assessment, and intervention, helping practitioners understand individual needs, raise attainment, and ensure smooth transitions into school.
Key responsibilities include delivering training, promoting inclusive and assessment-led practice, and acting as a key link with Family Hubs to strengthen multi-agency coordination. The role also involves line managing SEND Officers through coaching and modelling to improve outcomes for children and settings.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early years and SEND, with relevant qualifications and in-depth knowledge of the EYFS, SEND Code of Practice, and child development. They will be an effective communicator with experience delivering training and working across diverse early years settings. Skilled in collaboration and relationship-building, they can work independently and as part of a team, using initiative to plan and implement support strategies.
About us:

It draws on the strengths of our individual organisations, recognising that together we can achieve much more for our communities by delivering on our 2 place missions; create fair opportunities for all children, families, residents and businesses and make our towns and neighbourhoods flourish for those who live and work in them.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive Early Years Inclusion Team making a meaningful impact on outcomes for children with SEND. You’ll work collaboratively across settings, Family Hubs, and services, shaping inclusive practice and driving early intervention. The role provides variety through training, project work, and leadership responsibilities, including developing others.
