Churnet View Middle School is a welcoming and inclusive middle deemed secondary school within The Talentum Learning Trust, committed to supporting every pupil to achieve their full potential. The Trust comprises of 9 schools within and around the town of Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands, which includes Westwood College and Leek High School. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate professional to play a key role in inspiring pupils across the Science curriculum. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching Science across at least two key stages, with a strong desire to raise attainment and aspirations for all learners. Experience in KS2 and/or KS3 would be particularly relevant to our setting, though candidates with a secondary background are very welcome to apply. Please note that the successful candidate may be required to teach other subjects within the wider curriculum·

Science Teacher (MPS/UPS)

Start Date: Required for September 2026 (However, we would be willing to accept applications to join later in the academic year subject to notice periods)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full time

Pay: Main Scale £33,673 to Upper Scale £52,222pa. Applications from ECT teachers are welcomed.

Allowance: Potential for Head of Subject TLR subject to appropriate experience

Location: Churnet View Middle School, however, you may be required to cover other duties across the Trust.

Line Manager: Head of Department/Assistant Headteacher
