Hannett Hale Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a charming rural primary school located on the outskirts of Preston. Set in a beautiful countryside location with excellent facilities, this school offers exceptional opportunities for outdoor learning, forest school activities, and hands on exploration that enriches the KS1 curriculum.
We are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher to join the team full time from September 2026 until Christmas, with the strong potential for the role to extend. This is a warm, welcoming school with a supportive staff team and a nurturing ethos — an ideal environment for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to begin their career in a truly inspiring setting.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
• Take full responsibility for a KS1 class, delivering engaging, creative and high quality teaching
• Be involved in planning, preparation and assessment
• Make full use of the school’s outdoor spaces and forest school provision
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and colleagues across the school
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families and the wider school community
• Contribute to the positive, inclusive culture of this rural school
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Recent experience teaching in KS1
• A passion for outdoor learning and creative curriculum delivery
• Strong classroom management and a proactive, flexible approach
• An understanding of SEN and how to support diverse learning needs
• A genuine commitment to supporting children’s early learning and development
• ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply
