A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Sales Executive to join our team at the China Fleet Country Club. Set within 180 acres of beautiful Cornish countryside and just 15 minutes from Plymouth City Centre, we are a leading Country Club offering accommodation, fitness & leisure, golf, dining, beauty, weddings, conferences, and events.
The Sales Executive is accountable to the Business Development Manager and supports the delivery of sales growth across the Club, with a primary focus on Conference & Events.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused individual to play a key role in driving bookings, supporting the sales pipeline, and delivering an exceptional customer journey from first enquiry through to confirmation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming enquiries for conferences, meetings, events and weddings via phone, email, and online channels
• Respond promptly and professionally, qualifying leads and gathering key booking information
• Prepare and send tailored proposals, quotations, and follow-ups to maximise conversions
• Actively manage and follow up on all live enquiries within the sales pipeline
• Promote the Club’s conference and event facilities to corporate and group clients
• Support site visits and familiarisation tours for prospective clients
• Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of confirmed bookings
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system
• Support outbound sales activity, including re-engaging previous enquiries and prospecting new business
• Identify upsell opportunities across accommodation, catering, and additional services
• Contribute ideas for promotions and packages to drive conference and events revenue
• Provide excellent customer service at every stage of the enquiry and booking journey
We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent organisational skills. Previous experience in hospitality or events is beneficial but not essential, more important is a willingness to learn, a passion for customer service, and an interest in developing a career in sales.
We offer you:
• Free use of the facilities including golf
• Free parking
• Employee assistance programme
• Access to a retail discount platform
• Discounts throughout the club
• Free warm up driving range balls
Salary: £13.01 per hour/£27,060 per annum
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
Closing date 12th June 2026
